Ok, you've finished your open water certification and
you're ready for some more challenging dives. Maybe
you want to learn about diving deep or with NITROX.
How about just getting your buoyancy just right. Well,
you need some Advanced Training!
At Scuba Brothers, most of our intermediate and advanced
classes are taught through SSI. SSI provides our instructors
and students with the most flexibility to get you trained
without compromising on the quality of the training. One of
the big advantages is that SSI gives the student and
instructors the ability to choose the course the student
needs or wants, instead of forcing you to take specialty
training you don't need. Here are some of our most popular
specialty courses.
Why have you chosen SSI over other certification
agencies?
After looking at the major agencies, SSi provided the
flexibility our students needed on several points. For
example, with other agencies, you must complete a deep
dive with your instructor to receive your advanced Texas.
We would have to drive five hours or charter a boat for the
course. This was a large investment of time and money for a
limited benefit. SSI's system allows us to tailor your training
plan to the student's individual needs. A more lengthy list of
reasons can be found
here.
What if I don't want to start over and I'm certified with
another agency?
No Problem. All agencies adhere to the minimum standards
in the industry. That means the major certification agencies
honor each other's certifications. So regardless of which
agency you have trained under, it will transfer to SSI.
Ok, I understand the reasons, but i still want to stay
with my original agency?
Hey, we understand. If you're comfortable with one agency,
we can help. Several of our instructors are certified with
multiple agencies and can teach their courses as well. If you
have a specific request, call us!
So how do I become an advanced diver, master diver,
ect?
Getting higher certification requires a mix of four key
elements: knowledge, experience, skills and equipment. You
need to grow in all of these areas to gain higher levels. The
chart below should give you an idea of where you are and
how to continue on.
